Migration and integration of financial’s into client’s system.

Our client is a US-based global provider of business conferencing and communications services. The business is prominent with large corporations worldwide and acquired a smaller global telecommunications company in 2014, to grow its videoconferencing revenues and continue to lead their industry. Intone was hired after the acquisition to facilitate the required migration and integration of the purchased company’s financial books and records and all their data into our client’s system.

Intone was engaged to assist the acquired company to migrate to a new Cloud-based version of Microsoft Dynamics GP to enable the integration. Our client engaged Intone to perform an upgrade to the latest cloud-based version of Microsoft Dynamics GP. Intone and the ERP team planned the project phases required to configure functioning interfaces with all current systems to meet the desired launch date. An upgrade to the newest Cloud-based version of Microsoft Dynamics GP was the innovative best fit for them based on its robust, scalable, proven framework.

Two key factors were its scalability and design allowing to fully customize the software as a service (SaaS) application to all the client’s unique industry-specific processes. Intone developed the project’s plan and used it to support our recommendation to our client; displaying notable cost savings and enhanced operational capabilities compared to other options our client considered.

Intone’s project plan included the development of a complete roadmap which incorporated the design of new process workflows, and mapped these new processes to maximize efficiency. We also conducted a complete data migration, testing and normalization process to cleanse data from all current and new sources. Using an Agile interative solution Intone managed the design, built, testing and Go Live phases (including additional functionalities due to new requests from the ongoing operation). A change management protocol was established (for patches, new releases, upgrades, and to enable growth to naturally evolve the system’s value to our client). The modules included in the upgrade were financial, sales, purchasing, inventory, project management, payroll, and operations.

Intone provided the enterprise solution and technical architects, business analysts, integration analysts, data analysts and quality assurance personnel that were fully managed by a program IPMO established between intone and the client.

Intone successfully managed and provided the innovative technology and business expertise to ensure our client’s new applications were up and running ahead of schedule. The client’s customized instance of Microsoft Dynamics GP presents innovation to the users. The key success factors of this engagement were the creation of a transparent standardized methodology that controls marketing and the collaboration process, immediate real-time reporting, ad-hoc, scheduling, and visualized dashboards with client control of customized views.

We also established clear and measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) used to continually measure process efficiency and effectiveness. This solution also provided for a centralized system procured at a lower annual cost than the inventory of previous IT licenses. Our client has reported substantial process efficiencies have occurred which have led to better quality sales & marketing results and seamless integration. With Intone’s team leading the agile project methodology, Microsoft Dynamics was fully implemented in 9 months, within budget and with an energized roll-out.
